In fifth class this year we got sheets with quiz facts on them. They really helped us to know more facts for the quiz. After a couple of weeks of learning the quiz sheets the first big quiz came up for all the classes to see who would be picked for the six quiz teams from our school. Finally the teams were picked. Everyone who was picked for the teams was very proud of themselves.
QUIZ CLUB
Then our sixth class teacher had a brilliant idea to start a quiz club on Thursdays and Friday every week, coming up to the Credit Union Quiz. Everyone enjoyed quiz club it was really fun.
THE DAY OF THE QUIZ
On the day of the quiz we were excited and nervous at the same time. There were seven children chosen from our class to take part. We were joined by another school. Altogether there were twelve teams, six under elevens and six under thirteen’s. The quiz started with some easy rounds and eventually the rounds got harder.
The older teams had twelve rounds and the younger had ten rounds. After five rounds we got a break to relax our brains before the next few rounds. When we were finished our final rounds, the scores were announced and luckily enough we had one team to get through to the next round. There were also three teams in our school to get trophies. After all the trophies were given out everybody that took part in the quiz got a fizzy drink, a packet of crisps and lots of treats as well.
WE WISH THE TWO WINNING TEAMS THE BEST OF LUCK IN THEIR NEXT QUIZ!
